What's the Deal with Matching Bonus Money?
Full Tilt Poker will match your initial deposit, from $50 to $600 and you "earn" the matching money based on Full Tilt Points. A 1,000 points would earn you $60 of your bonus.
What's the Deal with the Free Program?
The rules to qualify are simple. Create an account with Full Tilt Poker, enter Referral Code FREEPROGRAM and deposit at least $50. After you earn 100 Full Tilt Points, tell us which program you want and we'll send it to you.
When you get 500 points, you get The Little Green Book of Hold'em. When you get 1000 points, you get your 2nd free program. In addition, your points count towards your deposit bonus.
How long does it take to earn these points? On average, if you played an hour of Limit Hold'em at $3/$6 you would earn over 100 points and get your first free program.
How about some more Details about Full Tilt Points?
When you enter tournaments and as you play in cash games, you earn Full Tilt Points. Each $1 entry fee is 7 points. Each $1 rake at your table gives each player a point.
Rake is 5% of the pot (no flop/no drop) with a max which varies by the stakes of the game. The max is never higher than $3, no matter how high the stakes.
In a typical $1/$2 limit game the rake is .50 per pot. 80 hands per hour is average. That's $40 rake so each player at the table would earn 40 Full Tilt Points.
In a typical $3/$6 limit game (6-9 players) the rake is $1.50 per pot. 80 hands per hour is average. That's $120 rake so each player at the table would earn 120 Full Tilt Points.
Some 9 player No Limit games with $2/$4 blinds generate 240 points or more per hour.
How Easy is it to Make a Deposit at Full tilt Poker?
Deposits can be made with Visa/MasterCard, EPassporte and with cash via Moneygram (100,000 locations worldwide).
Besides Convenience, what are some other Advantages of Playing at Full Tilt Poker?
Five of the Big Advantages are:
- Reduced Cost of Playing
- A much wider Range of Stakes starting as low as .25/.50 with an Excellent Choice of Games
- A Huge Number of Tournaments with a Variety of Types and Buy-ins.
- It's a Comfortable Place to Play
- We make it Worth Your While to Sign Up
1. Reduced Cost:
Playing at Full Tilt is considerably less expensive than playing in the "brick and mortar" Cardrooms and Casinos. They typically rake 10% and often have a higher max.
There's also no dealer tipping which adds up to many $ per hour per table.
Even worse are the time charges common in many California Cardrooms; these can run $8/$10 per 1/2 hour per player.
Another advantage of rake versus a time charge is that a lot of the rake is paid by the players who win the most pots. These players win a lot of pots because they're in a lot of hands, often with hands of lesser value. This results in losing a lot of hands too. The net effect is that players who enter the most pots usually lose money.
In general, if you play conservatively you will win fewer pots but end up winning money. This will happen because:
- you'll play fewer hands but they'll have higher value
- you'll have a higher win percentage with these hands
- you'll win fewer pots than your loose competition but you'll win money.
Net Winnings = Money Won - Money Lost - Rake. The key is minimizing the Money Lost (and Rake) side of the equation. Not investing in lesser hands, which have less chance of winning, is vital. This does not mean that you shouldn't bluff or semi/bluff or take advantage of situations where you can steal.

Hold'em - .25./.50 Limit with $2.50 Min Buy-in, up to $500/$1000 Limit
